1.
The Fadeout (Country of the mind) Driving all night Fire and rain Hold on tight Heading which way? Wayward like a lost kite in a doubtful sky Kicking up the dust of your life On this endless road Eyes closed Moonlight at the wheel Whispers in the wind fighting the fadeout On the edge of the coast In the country of a mind Looking past the past We hold on, trapped in time Fading out
2.
Everything will pass Hurricane comes crashing through Everything you once knew Everything will pass Nothing will last Don’t look back Raindrops come falling down A new day comes to town Everything will pass Nothing will last Don’t look back When the calm settles in stay close to what’s true When the fog lifts you can see everything that will set you free
3.
Waking up tired Burning the candles at both ends Never really catching up Stuck in between the lines Waking up tired every day Clock is ticking Can’t stop looking at the clock Gone is the beauty of each morning Pushing problems to the side In limbo of these times Stretching nights into day Waking up tired every day Clock is ticking Can’t stop looking at the clock Gone is the beauty of each morning There’s so much on the line So much on the line Time is running away
4.
Nothing more between us/It’s only getting better No sleep I can barely think Barely see what’s in front of me The clock is losing time And there’s a mess on the floor Nothing more between us TV’s on, but there’s nothing on Just a blank stare No sleep, no sleep Barely see what’s lying front of me or tomorrow Nothing more between us Even in the sideways rain Or on a clear blue day It’s only getting better (Your mind is as good as the mind you create) But I don’t want to think at all
5.
This heart made of stone Growing old This heart can’t cry It’s about time to let it flow Broken dreams and shattered hopes Can’t put it back if you’re made of stone Look inside See your soul It’s turning black and all alone Break apart everything you know Like they say, every heart has a home Either way what can you know, figure out or understand? What is right, what is wrong? When to be afraid? Simple things and mysteries are better off left alone What to do, what to do? When this heart is made of stone
6.
The old stoner Couldn’t find my way home Come to the end of this road Not so long ago my hands fell off the wheel Along with the innocence of each passing year Yesterdays’ sun set So wasted I didn’t know Over a new horizon a bright light will shine Shine back Heavy and tired There’s got to be more than this Cause I ain’t got the time for yesterday Yesterdays’ sun set So wasted I didn’t know Over a new horizon a bright light will shine Shine back
7.
Even when the world gets you down Even when the sun don’t catch your eye And flowers wilt When the demon’s at your door When your need is nothing more than to fix a broken heart On your golden shores Between right and wrong There’s an ocean of soul That rights them wrongs Even when the world gets you down Over time Over edges of wasted motivation Take it, turn it into something better The shape I’m in a sense of wonder Will turn it all around And roll with the punches Between bad and good Be all that you could Be misunderstood Even when the world gets you down
8.
The Blackout 03:19
The blackout I’m a stranger in the world Cleared my head every weekend Fogs the mind every time Valentine, valentine Trouble again Back to where we started Wasting time Oh my drinks’ gone dry You got to roll Will it ever grow old? We got our troubles, we got tonight You got to know what isn’t real You got to know when to call it quits

Sunday Drive 05:03
Sunday drive Sleeping in on the weekends Lying in all these loose ends Try to make sense of it all Such a mess Maybe today I’ll hit the road What to do with all these lessons learned Up and down so many roads Looking back all the good times I’m grateful for all I have and so much more Lonely drive on a Sunday Only memories on my mind Every time I get low Clear the air of this web of a broken soul The rush of it can make a day And take me away to a place I don’t feel so alone The open road is one way To keep these memories alive Sleeping in on the weekends Finally climbing out of this deep end

about

Craig started playing the piano when he was nine. He picked up the guitar when he was ten, wrote his first song when he was thirteen. He then started playing drums at fourteen. As a multi-instrumentalist/songwriter, Craig has played in countless bands, worked on numerous studio projects and has just released his latest album called 'Everything Will Pass'.

“Everything Will Pass” was inspired by a series of events in Craig’s personal life : the death of his parents, a divorce and substance abuse. “It proved to be very cathartic, writing and recording this album”, says Robertson. Finding a silver lining through all of it, he not only wrote of the dark times, but of the optimism that can come from living through the tough stuff.

The album was recorded in the Kawartha area of Ontario, with the rural surroundings offering inspiration to the earthy and honest vibe. Highlighting the record is a dazzling guitar solo from James McKenty on 'This Heart Made of Stone', a funky, bossa-nova beat on 'Even when the world gets you down' and the heartfelt guitar and voice only of 'The Old Stoner'. 'Sunday Drive' is a fitting finale as it's a tribute to Craig's parents and 'It's Only Getting Better' is a MUST listen featuring multi-layered vocals, pedal steel guitar, piano and more.
